Leticia H. Los Angeles, CA 7/26/2011 I've never wore a dress in my life and my wedding dress is going to be my first dress as an adult. I thought picking a dress was not going to be easy. I was wrong! I made an appointment to look at some wedding dresses _ IBEX. When i arrived i was treated like a queen, The woman that helped me was extremely helpful. She kept bringing me beautiful dresses. When i tried on the dress i knew it was the one. My friends told me to keep looking so i left. I went to another locastion but the service or dresses were nothing like IBEX. I went back and made my purchase. I must say I LOVE MY DRESS!! If your looking to purchase a beautiful wedding dress, and want to be treated like a queen, Go to IBEX. You will not regret it. My friend just told me she was getting Married and i referred her to Ibex. Ibex is the place. SONYA H. Tujunga, CA 7/23/2011 thanks to ibex bridal i found my dream wedding dress!!!!from the first moment i entered the store i felt welcomed. the girl who helped me was extremely sweetheart and helpful. i discribed my imaginary wedding dress and she found for me what i dreamed of. everyone in the store were very nice and helpful. they have fair prices and lots of gorgeous accesories for brides. i loveeee my dress and many many thanks to all ibex employees and managment....... Anna M. Van Nuys, CA 7/19/2011 6 months to plan our wedding and a small budget my mom and I went downtown to look for dresses. After wasting hours walking into one bogus store after another, we hit the jackpot when we were referred over to IBEX from another store employee. There were thousands of dresses everywhere, floor to ceiling. The girl who helped us was extremely sweet and helpful. She aided us in selecting the dresses and trying them on. The'y were pretty fair with pricing as well so that was REALLY helpful for us. We ended up buying my dress as well as ordering mom's wedding dress from IBEX. I've since referred people to go there since it's so convenient. Sakura H. Los Angeles, CA 7/16/2011 I went to Ibex yesterday with Mom (the future bride). This is her second marriage and i'm so happy in her new found joy. Since it's a second marriage she did not want to spend outrageous money on a dress. A friend referred us to Ibex and I was so impressed. When we went in there we assumed all the dresses would be $1000+ So we were very honest and told them we had a minimal budget. They still gave us great customer service and showed us dresses within our price range. They were so helpful and by far the best quality & service we had experienced in the downtown area and trust me we had been to numerous bridal stores. We were shopping last minute for a dress because my mom had found one at Davids Bridal but they start tacking on all these additional fees. They gave her a dress 2 sizes too big and then wanted to charge her $200 for alterations. So glad we were referred to Ibex. When my mom tried on about the 4th dress she was smiling so wide. We both said thats the dress and walked out feeling so blessed that she found something she loved within her budget. Sophy H. Beverly Hills, CA 6/24/2011 This place has a huge selection!!!! and i love that they carry actuall designers unlike some other places in the fashion district that just sell fake ones! I found them through allure Bridal and maggie sottero!I bought my dress today and got addtional discounts for my self when my girls got there maids dresss! (not to mention the killer deal i got ;0)Great selection 2,500+ dresses and great staff. It's a must to visit. O i reccomend shopping around prior so that you can get an idea as to how much your saving when you got to IBEX!Special thanks to Shonel you were such a great help and very sweet!Lisa R. Huntington Beach, CA 4/15/2011 After trying on several gowns, Ibex was the one of the few stores that could get me the Allure gown of choice on such short notice. Not only was Chanel darling, but an absolute professional. The extra bonus was that I got a great price on THEE gown I wanted!!! Thank-you Chanel and Danny!!! ; )))On another note, it seems pretty suspicious that an establishment such as IBEX that has been around for so long and built on reputation could get so many substandard reviews. I gasped when I read them and wondered who they were talking about because they could not be further from the experience I had with Chanel and Danny. Please post this one yelp. I was welcomed by Chanel who did an amazing job. She helped me narrow down my dress choices and she found a dress that made me feel exactly how I want to feel on my wedding day. Which all other bridal places have failed to do.My suggestion. Go here for their large dress selection. It helps if you have an idea of what you are looking for (style, neckline, designer, etc.)I had an amazing experience with Chanel and the owner. We discussed yelp, a very interesting conversation with the owner. Anyway. I purchased my gown and am now waiting for my first fitting :)2 Previous Reviews: Hide ยป 2/1/2011 Funny....This is my second attempt at leaving IBEX a good review. I bought my dress there. I've still got the alterations left so I can't review that yet. However, I made an appointment expecting a terrible experience. Instead, i got the complete opposite. Chanelle was amazing! She listened to my crazy ideas of what I wanted in my wedding dress and found the perfect dress.She even gave me ideas to save some money. She is amazing and I had a better experience that at other high end boutiques and chain bridal shops.Please keep this up yelp. 1/27/2011 I went to IBEX expecting to have a terrible experience because of all the reviews. I made an appointment because they carried the designers I really loved.My appointment was with Chanelle who is amazing! She was very patient and listened to me, which is hard because I went it there with pieces of ideas I had in mind for my wedding dress.I went today to try on the dress I fell in love with and once again Chanelle was great. I'm not really sure why the reviews are to terrible. Maybe they changed their staff. Either way, I did see a sign about yelp stating that there is a class action lawsuit that they are a part of.I noted this to the owner and he assured me that my order and dress would be okay.Again, I'm not sure of any of this information but I can tell you my experience was great. They made me feel much more comfortable that at any other designer boutique or chain store. Thank you so much!! My dress is perfect :) Lauren N. Los Angeles, CA 2/4/2011 I have to agree with Shirley and Michelle, this place is great and so worth the trip to down town LA. I came in with a specific dress in mind and was so happy that this salon actually had it cause i went to a whole bunch of other salons with no luck. My consultants name was Shanel and she was soo nice and helpfu and listned to me,l she actually ended up pulling some dresses she suggest that i try and the 3rd one ended up being thee dress! I was so over joyed and the discount i received for me and my bridesmaids is AMAZEING!Cant wait to see my dress when it comes in!!Erin C. Hermosa Beach, CA 1/25/2011 I got my wedding dress from Ibex. My mom and I wandered in there one Saturday to look at dresses. I hadn't known you were supposed to have an appointment, but they fit me in. I tried 6 dresses on and fell in love with the third one; it was gorgeous and on sale for $799! We ordered it and paid a little extra to make sure it was shipped a bit quicker. I received a call when it was ready and set up a time to try it on. The dress fit perfectly! Anna helped me and was very sweet. I didn't need any alterations at all. I also paid $75 to have it pressed. The staff was always very helpful and accommodating. I then received a $50 off coupon to have the dress cleaned afterward. My dress was beautiful and I received tons of compliments on it! Thank you, Ibex!maureen M. Orange, CA 1/7/2011 After shopping for a couple of ours I finally found this place. I was set on a Sottero dress "Adorae" and they had it!!!!!!!! Although I was in love with this dress I ended up going with a Mori Lee dress. The girl that helped me, Chanel I think her name was, was very very helpful and nice. The other blonde girl who was in the store was also very friendly too. The man that everyone is talking about just did the dirty work with calling the owner and trying to negotiate a price with me. I am picking the dress up today and will see how that goes, but as of right now this place is a 5 star. I loved it here!!! My advice would be go to santee street check out joy, and trendy too and check out the quality of their dresses then go to IBEX on Los Angeles street and compare the quality you will be AMAZED. Crazy thing is, is that the prices are the same. Good luck to all and congrats!!!!!!! Michelle M. Rosemead, CA 12/21/2010 I am not sure why all the reviews are complaining about poor customer service here. Their sales associate (I think her name was Nara?) was so helpful during my fitting process. I take a VERY long time trying on clothes at regular stores so just imagine how long it took for me to decide on my wedding dress. Luckily, Nara understood my plight and wasn't pushy or impatient at all. She knew how important it was to me. Also, I have a smaller figure so I was really concerned about the alterations. But my altered dress was finished one month+ before the wedding and I was incredibly pleased with the results. The seamstress did a fantastic job!Other than that, they have a HUGE, huge selection of beautiful brand-name dresses at affordable prices. Seriously, my bridesmaids went gaga at all the choices. It really boggles my mind how an affordable bridal salon with such a huge selection could deserve 1 star. Really, people? Check out City Search for more accurate reviews and decide for yourself. Ibex - Thank you for all your help. My dress was a hit!! Alana A. Burbank, CA 10/26/2010 I was VERY pleased with my experience at IBEX... This is the first place I went and I ended up buying the 3rd dress I tried on... I loved flipping through the books they had of all of their dresses, I thought that made my decision so much easier to quickly be able to pick a few dresses I wanted to try on.After trying on two dresses, they asked me again what price range I was looking for, and since the two I had already tried on were a bit more then I intended to pay, I asked Nara, the sales associate, which dress she thought would look good on me. She thumbed through the dresses, and brought me one that she thought would look amazing on me...as I slipped it on, it fit like a glove!!! Because of her enjoyment for what she does, and her experience, she knew just what to suggest, and I am so glad I took her suggestion. It was like she knew my style before I even did, just by looking at me.My sister (my Maid of Honor), who knows me better then anyone, agreed, that without us even knowing it, this was the most amazing dress for me... My body measurements are not that proportional. Even for a regular occasions! I go through many stores to find the right evening gown. Before going to IBEX. I went to many bridal salons in Ventura County; the minute they looked at me they rolled their eyes and told me they didn't have my size !!!!! Luckily the bookkeeper at my company knew of this salon called IBEX. I made an appointment for a Saturday. Although the place was packed I got service right on time. Yes they actually had dresses in my size. No fancy sales talk. They let me try and make my own decision. The sales consultant actually asked me to bring my mom. I ended up getting the dress on the first visit.I thank you everyone at IBEX. I recommend everyone to this salon Angelina Q. I had a family reunion about 5 months ago in Los Angeles. We went downtown with my mom and sister looking for casual stuff. We came across IBEX and we went inside. I wasn't even planning to buy a gown in LA. This place is absolutely incredible! There are walls and walls of top brand name gowns. Not only then every consultant is highly informative about fit & cut & color. It was like I went through 2hours of bridal education. She knew exactly what works for my body. Even though my maids were all over she helped me find the bridesmaids dress's too. She faxed all the info to my maids and everything just fell into place, one, two, three. To all you brides who think the internet are the best way for shopping, I promise you it's worth your time to visit this salon. I didn't go through any stress and I had a ball trying on those gorgeous gownsShalena-Ann B. Los Angeles, CA 9/16/2010 IBEX SAVED MY WEDDING!!!I had purchased my gown on the internet several months ago! When I received the gown I ALMOST FAINTED!!!!! The gown had snags and beads missing!!! It looked like a used gown! So I decided to get a new gown!My cousin took me to IBEX, I spent almost 2hours in the salon & finally walked out with a wedding gown!! The price was LESS than $500.00 at least 30% less than retail. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IBEX!!!Michelle P. Beverly Hills, CA 9/16/2010 I am at the airport waiting to board my flight, which is 3 hours delayed, to go on my honey moon; and it just occurred to me I should write a review about this wonderful salon!!I just loved the service! Everyone was so charismatic and helpful. They were so efficient and organized!!! The gowns are spotless and fresh, and the atmosphere is so warm and friendly! I had a list of designer gowns that I wanted to try, and they had most of those in stock at the best prices that I had found back then.I personally highly recommend this store for your entire party. Carol S. Beverly Hills, CA 9/15/2010 I have been a wedding planner for over 15 years. Seen them all and dealt with almost every salon in Los Angeles and New York. Since I am now moving to Europe with my handsome honey, thought I should give out my best hidden secret to all of you searching for a perfect dress. They offer all the top brand name high quality wedding gowns at very reasonable prices. All my brides were happy with their customer service and alteration department. Being in bridal business, I have had my share of bad reviews as well. Perhaps few are honest reviews, but mostly it has to do with cancelled wedding and requesting the impossible " Need my money back, if not, I will write bad reviews". My consulting business flourished tremendously once I discovered this wonderful salon. Yes it is Downtown, but it is a great place to visit. There is no fancy footwork and they get right into the business. They do not stop until you are absolutely satisfied. Although I rather see more consultants working on Saturdays since my brides have complained about waiting time, and also it would have been better if the store was open on Sundays as well.Thank you Ibex for being there for all my brides that I referred to you. Much luck and Business!!! Jennifer S. Burbank, CA 9/15/2010 Ibex is my favorite salon. My sales consultant was very informed and recommended a gown that is absolutely to die for. This place carries so many brands you can practically get a first hand education for what is out there. My gown arrived a month before the due date. I am very happy with the alteration job. Please do not be fooled with fancy locations. If you don't mind driving to downtown, I think this store is the best place to shop for a wedding gown.Samantha J. Burbank, CA 9/15/2010 I recently went to Ibex without knowing exactly the style I wanted for my wedding dress. I ended up finding the perfect dress at a great price. I am a plus size bride and thought I was going to have a lot of trouble finding a dress which would flatter my shape, but I was wrong. I went to a few other places which were not helpful and only had smaller sizes in stock. The sales people were so helpful and friendly and they really understood my frustration. At first they only let me choose 5 dresses from the catalogs, but once I started trying on the dresses they pulled more for me. My experience was great and I left so happy knowing I found my dream dress! cynthia s. South Gate, CA Updated - 7/7/2010 OMG i can't believe what i'm reading... I know its not a boutique and its not very nice and to be honest with you its super hot when trying on dresses... but, you can't bet the price!!!I walked in on a Saturday with an appt. and it was super crowded. Then i met NARA see was awesome. Best customer service ever! After trying on the first dress I knew it was the one and she was so good with the accessories. I walked out that day with my wedding dress orded and my veil, headpieces, 7 bridesmaid dresses, 2 jr bridesmaid dress and 3 dresses for my sisters. It was great and so stress free to get it all out of the way so fast. Plus brides for each dress your party orders you get a refund check... :) I suggest you try going during the week when its less busy and make an apt. with Nara shes awesome. Anna T. Glendale, CA 7/2/2010 I had a great experience with IBEX. I am a second generation bride shopping at IBEX. I must tell you, I am a shophollic I had checked out over 20 bridal salons before going to IBEX. This operation has mastered every technique there is for helping the brides with the selection, the price, alteration and customer service all great I have no complaints. The gown arrived on time and I loved my seamstress . Very nice and helpful. I recommend IBEX to every one. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Christine C. Los Angeles, CA 8/31/2009 My wedding is in 2 months, I waited a little longer then recommend so I was nervous going in for a consultation. I walked in, met Nora and I was taken care of right away by the friendly staff. I was given different books to look at and pick the ones I wanted to try on. Nora said she would make a deal with me, I could try on my dresses if I tried on one that she picked. To my surprise I walked out buying the very dress she picked out for me. It wasnt what I envisioned for myself, but it looked the best for my body type and it shocked me how much I loved it. You will really get an honest opinion. I walked out with a dress and my bridesmaids dress too. Thank you Nora for taking care of me and making everything work out. P.S. They pulled some strings and I will get my dress in time plus they gave me a discount. I am excited to see what my first fitting will be like. sandra p. Glendale, CA 9/14/2009 Yes, Ibex came through, I loved the whole experience.Before I started looking for my gown I checked few of the bridal salons' websites. Then I looked at their reviews. Yes I very nervous. Finally my aunt recommended that I should visit IBEX. I went down with my maid of honor. We were both so impressed with their collection that decided to do the order the same day.The sales lady was excellent, helped me in every way possible with all the details. Sandy B. I was an excited Bride-to-be when I went in to the downtown store, where I was expertly assisted by Narra. She guided my in all ways in choosing a gown that perfectly complimented my somewhat imperfect proportions, and I placed my order with confidence. Narra called me when my dress came in, and I went in to collect it, exactly as promised. I was extatic! It was everything I had imagined, and more. My wedding day dawned on June 14th, 2009, and I felt like a princess!!! Thank you to Narra and IBEX.I reccomended the shop to my friend, who alerted me to the negative reviews, and I felt I needed to make my experience public, so that people will know that my experience was really terrific! Burbank, CA 8/7/2006 A wonderful bridal salon in the heart of LA!!!Let me tell you!!!I had in mind to buy my gown in all the right places.After my best friend recommended IBEX in Downtown.I was not that excited.She insisted & we went . Talk about the best experience I have ever had.They have practically mastered this trade.The best selection of top brand name gowns & the best prices since 1985.Check out this wedding store heaven & you wil thank me forever.I just had to let everyone know about it!!!!!! Sally J. Glendale, CA 7/15/2009 I went to IBEX 4 months ago to shop for my wedding gown. I was very nervous because I had read few disturbing reviews about them. My friend, who is a newlywed, recommended strongly for me to visit this salon. I had shopped around before, the selection & prices are absolutely great. I love my gown and the seamstress did a good job for alterations. I asked the manager about the different reviews they have on this website, he responded that business is very competitive & unfortunately there are few unethical retailers out there who would try to take advantage of these web sites & try to prevent the competition from getting more business.All and all I loved the whole experience at IBEX. I guarantee not only you will save money; you would get the best professional advice.
